Raquel is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. After receiving her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from Great Basin College (formerly Northeastern Nevada Community College), she went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2001 and following, a few years later, her Master of Science in Nursing in family practice in 2005 from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Experience
Raquel is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive health care to patients of all ages. She has over 30 years of nursing experience with a background in emergency care, cardiac care, case management, and nursing management (Director of Med/Surg/Pediatrics, ICU, Education).
Raquel has worked the last 18 years as a Nurse Practitioner with her primary focus in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and Urgent Care. She has experience in Occupational Medicine, Worker’s Comp, Women’s Health, and Men’s Health as well. Raquel comes to Core Medicine from rural Nevada, bringing a wide range of experience.
Hobbies:
Raquel loves spending time with her family and can often be found enjoying Idaho’s amazing outdoors, skiing, rafting, or mountain biking. She loves new experiences and is always up for a challenge!
